Microsoft Office Professional Plus encountered an error during – Microsoft Community

I do not have any old versions of office on my system, i did have a trial version of office the first time i tried this install however i have now removed this. I have norton on my computer however i dont think this would affect the install.
Can anyone offer any advice as to why i am getting this message and how to solve the problem??? If any further system information is needed please ask and i will try to provide.
OK, since it’s obstinate, you’re going to have to do things manually, skip them Fix It tools. Do a clean boot and then follow the process to manually uninstally all office apps. Correct the issuse s listed above and re-run setup. From where did you purchase the Office Pro Plus package? Are you downloading the product from Microsoft website?
